§ Angela EagleExpenditure on payments of Jobseeker's Allowance to those aged 18–24 years has fallen slightly more quickly in the period since 1997 than it did during the period 1993–96. The same is true of the numbers of 18–24-year-olds in receipt of JSA and of the proportion of the total number of JSA recipients who are aged 18–24.
