Letter from Tim Holt to Mr. Frank Field, dated 3 February 2000: As Director of the Office for National Statistics (ONS), I have been asked to reply to your parliamentary question on the rate of conceptions to women aged under 18 years in 1998. Figures for 1998 are not yet available. The conception rates for women aged under 18 in England and Wales for 1990–1997 are shown in the table:
