Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons sent the draft report to my right honourable friend the Home Secretary on 27 September 2000. The report has been checked for factual accuracy and my right honourable friend the Minister of State wrote to the Chief Inspector on 18 December approving its publication. We expect the report to be published early in the new year.
