Whether they consider that Israel has complied in full with Article 2 of the Israel-European Union Association Agreement, which requires "respect for human rights and democratic principles"; and, if not, what action they will take. [HL1]
§ Baroness Scotland of AsthalWe have serious concerns about the human rights situation in the Occupied Territories, and would expect the European Union to raise human rights issues with the Israelis in the context of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
Article 2 must of course be read in conjunction with the rest of the EU-Israel Association Agreement, including Article 76, on security.
