§ Mr. DenhamWe reviewed the prescription charging arrangements as part of the Comprehensive Spending Review and concluded that the present arrangements should remain for the rest of this Parliament. Our policy is that, with the exception of contraceptives, exemption applies to the individual's medical condition rather than the type of medication prescribed. Charging arrangements in Wales are a matter for the National Assembly for Wales.
