§ Mr. HuttonHealth authorities' revenue allocations for 2001–02 and for 2002–03 and 2003–04 will include funding both for intermediate care and community equipment services. Health authorities will be asked to agree joint plans with councils, setting out how they intend to deploy these resources and what the expected outputs and outcomes will be. Performance will be monitored and managed by the regional offices of the National Health Service Executive and social services inspectorate.

§ Mr. HuttonIn the current financial year (2000–01) an additional £150 million has been made available, recurrently, for investment in intermediate care and related services, as confirmed in the National Health Service Plan.
