§ Angela EagleSo that the Cabinet Office can publish the spring 2000 report on monitoring progress towards delivery of all Government services electronically by 2005, we are currently collecting data which will include our progress on delivering 25 per cent. of Government services electronically by 2002.
The Departmental website is undergoing immediate re-design to aid navigation to our key client groups: Families with Children, Working Age and Pensioners. There will also be access points providing information to support groups and journalists.
Currently, however, the Department provides a range of services electronically that include the Child Care Information System, developed in conjunction with the Department for Education and Employment and the Scotland Office, providing comprehensive information on child care broken down into geographical areas. The Department provides consultation documents, forms and leaflets over the internet. Forms available for downloading include the Retirement Pensions application form and the Statutory Sick Pay/Incapacity Benefit claim pack; leaflets include "Approaching Retirement" and "Babies and Children".
