§ Mr. StrawThe Cabinet Office will shortly be publishing the spring 2000 report summarising progress towards the delivery of all Government services electronically by 2005. We are currently collecting data to contribute to that report. This will include our progress 423W towards delivering 25 per cent. of Government services electronically by 2002. We currently provide a range of services electronically which include the following:
a 24 hour, seven day a week call centre within the United Kingdom Passport Agency, established in January this year, which is able to give members of the public responses to a wide range of inquiries, including progress of their passport applications;the online provision of Home Office research and statistical publications. This includes the Digest of Criminal Justice Statistics, enabling criminal justice practitioners, academics and other members of the public to carry out their own analysis of criminal justice statistics; anda comprehensive online information service, provided by the Home Office website, for all aspects of my Department's work.
