§ Mr. HainMy right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary has not met Sir Christopher Bland to discuss the funding of the BBC World Service. He has met Mr. Mark Byford, Chief Executive of the World Service, a number of times, most recently on 16 February 2000. The World Service bid under the 2000 Spending Review was among the matters discussed then.
