§ Mr. Charles ClarkeThere has been widespread support for the establishment of the Criminal Records Bureau, and for the kind of information that it will make available to employers and organisations, often for the first time. Before we make Regulations later in the year to prescribe various matters including charges for certificates, we shall undertake a regulatory impact exercise to provide an up-to-date assessment of the implications. Interested sectors will be consulted, and the results will be made known.
