§ Lord Macdonald of TradestonLondon Transport has provided Her Majesty's Government with an assurance that it intends to provide a continuous tube and bus service throughout millennium eve and day. A detailed public announcement of these arrangements, and of the services to be provided by the train operating companies serving London was made on Tuesday 19 October. A copy of the London Transport press release summarising the arrangements is being placed in the Library of the House.
