To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions how many tenants have received a voluntary purchase grant in (a) England and (b) London in each year since its introduction. [94347]

The Voluntary Purchase Grant scheme was introduced in April 1996. The number of registered social landlord households who have received a voluntary purchase grant in England and in London since the scheme's introduction is shown in the table below.
