§ Mr. HillNone. The Franchising Director is responsible for monitoring the performance of train operators. Performance data provided by train operators are independently and regularly checked for the Franchising Director by the University of Sheffield. Data relating to train operators' performance are also produced by Railtrack using trackside equipment. This data is independently audited.
