Progress in implementation of "Smoking Kills" includes the allocation of up to £60 million over three years to health authorities to develop specialist services, the establishment this year of National Health Service smoking cessation services in health action zones, draft Regulations to ban tobacco advertising, the launch of the Public Places Charter, £47.5 million over three years to prepare the health education programme and consultation on an Approved Code of Practice on smoking in the workplace.
