To ask the Secretary of State for Health what studies he has commissioned or evaluated on the relationship between the chewing of tobacco products and the development of oral cancers. [92618]

In its report published on 11 March 1999, the Scientific Committee on Tobacco and Health noted that chewed tobaccos are sources of potent carcinogens in the mouth.
