To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what timetable he has adopted in respect of the drafting of legislation to enable the signing of the International Criminal Court Treaty. [93675]

§ Mr. Hain
The legislation to enable ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court will be introduced as soon as the Parliamentary timetable permits. Detailed work to prepare this legislation is going forward. We are strongly committed to the Court and intend to be among the first sixty States to ratify.
