§ Mr. DenhamCapital investment in the National Health Service over the next three years is planned at more than £8 billion, which will be targeted towards modernising the infrastructure of the NHS through spending on new hospitals, plant and equipment. This level of investment will be met from public capital and through the Private Finance Initiative.
