The proposed agenda for the 9–10 December Transport Council comprises the following items.

Maritime Transport

3. Commission Communications on short sea shipping.

Horizontal Issues

  1. 4. Commission Communication on intermodality and intermodal freight transport;
  2. 5. Galileo satellite navigation project.

Land Transport

  1. 6. New developments for European railways (including rail infrastructure, rail interoperability and alleviation of bottlenecks);
  2. 7. Working time in road transport;

Air Transport

  1. 8. Short and long term perspectives on aviation noise;
  2. 9. Establishment of a European Aviation Safety Authority
  3. 10. Air Transport negotiations with Central and Eastern European countries;
  4. 11. Commission Communication on air traffic management
  5. 12. Other business
