(2) if he will list the amounts of, and purposes for which, expenditure from the Windfall Tax reserve has been authorised to date; and whether such expenditure (i) may be authorised by the Department for Education and Employment alone or (ii) requires the prior agreement of the Chancellor of the Exchequer. § Mr. Andrew SmithThe Windfall Tax reserve and the allocation of the Windfall Tax receipts as currently estimated are outlined in Table 4.1 of the 1999 Pre Budget Report.
Expenditure from the Windfall Tax reserve is a matter for the Chancellor of the Exchequer, as chair of the Cabinet committee EA(WW).
