To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what is the total number of vehicles used by her Department and its agencies fuelled by(a) petrol, (b) diesel and (c) liquid petroleum gas; and what plans she has to increase the rate of conversion of those vehicles to liquid petroleum gas. [98197]

The information requested is as set out and covers the vehicles owned by the Cabinet Office, its five agencies and the Central Office of Information (CoI).

Some 242 of these vehicles are operated by the Government Car and Despatch Agency, which runs two fleets, the Government Car Service and the InterDespatch Service.

The Cabinet Office, its Agencies and the CoI are, individually, either implementing a replacement programme or investigating the scope for making greater use of alternative technologies and fuels, including liquid petroleum gas, for the vehicles they operate.
