I am replying to your question to the Secretary of State for Defence about the Medium Range (MR) TRIGAT Anti-Tank Guided Weapon Programme. This matter falls to me for answer within the responsibility as Chief of Defence Procurement and Chief Executive of the Defence Procurement Agency.The MR TRIGAT programme is planned to replace the Milan Anti-Tank Guided Weapons System. The cost of this replacement programme was published in the Major Project Report 1998 as £806 Million; this cost is still in line with our current estimates.
