§ Mr. ByersMy Department has received representations from the Greater Nottingham Partnership about the non-inclusion of Beeston Rylands, Nottingham, since submitting our proposals to the European Commission for the new Objective 2 areas for 2000 to 2006. As part of the domestic consultation, we received representations from Greater Nottingham Partnership and Broxtowe Borough Council supporting the case for Beeston Rylands.
My hon. Friend has also raised the issue with me personally. We are considering the points raised.

§ Mr. ByersMy Department has received five representations regarding the exclusion of Netherfield within the Gedling Borough Council area from the proposals submitted to the European Commission for the new Objective 2 areas for 2000–06.
Two of the representations were from my hon. Friend, who has also raised the issue with me personally.
