§ Mr. HainWe are concerned about the abuses of human rights which bring suffering to the population of Kashmir, and have urged an improvement. We also call for an end to all external support for violence in Kashmir. The late Derek Fatchett raised the human rights issue with the Indian Home Minister during his visit to India in November last year. Senior officials have raised the issue at various levels.
