To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will list(a) the reports published by his Department and its associated bodies, (b) the reports received from bodies set up by his Department, (c) the decisions his Department has taken and (d) events in the UK and elsewhere, since 27 July, which satisfied the criteria he uses for deciding whether to apply to make oral statements to the House when the House is sitting. When deciding whether to make an oral statement, Ministers are guided by advice in paragraph 27 of the Ministerial Code. Therefore, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the President of the Council on 19 October 1999,Official Report, column 429.
