§ Dr. HowellsIn preparing the voluntary declarations to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Safeguards Office of my Department contacted a total of 165 companies and institutions to determine whether they were performing activities which would need to be reported under the protocol additional to the UK/Euratom/IAEA safeguards agreement following its entry into force. The declarations eventually submitted to the IAEA were based upon information provided by
