§ Clare ShortI have had various informal discussions with the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (DTI) on this issue and my Department are participating in the review of ECGD announced by DTI on 27 July. Also in July, I wrote to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, setting out my views on how ECGD could make a greater contribution to fulfilling the Government's development objectives set out in the White Paper on 'International Development: Eliminating Poverty'.
