§ Ms QuinThere was no substantive discussion on the European Court of Justice's (ECJ) preparations for the implementation of the Amsterdam Treaty at the General Affairs Council on 26 and 27 April. The Dutch delegation did, however stress the need for the ECJ to prepare for the extra workload.
The ECJ is expected to produce a review of its operation and procedures shortly.
