To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what targets he has set the Government Car and Despatch Agency for 1999–2000. [84172]

Mr. Kilfoyle

I have set the agency the following targets:Financial to break even on an accruals basis; to achieve a sales turnover of £11 million; to maintain expenditure and receipts within voted provision;

Efficiency to maintain the gross contribution as a percentage of sales at 1998–99 outturn; to increase the income per pound for labour cost to £2.04;

Quality to improve customer satisfaction by 2 per cent.

Environmental to convert to alternative environmentally friendly fuels 50 per cent. of the cars purchased and capable of such conversion.
