§ Clare ShortI met representatives of UK non-governmental organisations (NGO) on 29 April to discuss our proposals for new funding arrangements for UK organisations working to support development. There was a strong welcome for our new proposals which are designed to strengthen support for the development of civil society in the poorest countries, the details of which will be published by the summer.
