§ The Minister of State, Cabinet Office (Lord Falconer of Thoroton):The Government have no plans to change the way in which the Parliamentary 117WA Ombudsman is appointed. On 30 March 1999, the Minister for the Cabinet Office announced the start of a review of the organisation of public sector ombudsmen in England. The review team will give consideration to any points made during the course of the review.
