§ Mr. BattleThe Government are determined to help business meet the challenge and seize the opportunities of sustainability. In just the last month, I have announced new funding of around £8 million for a new Sustainable Technologies Initiative, £12 million to kick start a £60 million high tech drive to develop cleaner coal technologies, and the latest phase of the Foresight Vehicle438W programme which is supporting over £25 million of innovative research to develop the technologies needed for the next generation of more sustainable vehicles.
