§ Mr. CabornNo guidance has been issued to local authorities relating specifically to signing of historic county boundaries. But signs erected for commemorative rather than traffic management purposes are controlled by district planning authorities under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992 in accordance with DOE circular 5/92.
