§ Mr. McLeishTable 1 lists only those schemes (by local authority area) which have been awarded funding from The Scottish Office CCTV Challenge Competition between 1996–97 to 1998–99. Information on other CCTV systems is not held centrally. Information regarding the dates when systems became operational is also not held centrally but the table details the financial year in which grant was awarded to each scheme. Table 2 lists the 18 schemes (covering 14 local authority areas) awarded grant in the 1999–2000 round of the Competition.
