HL Deb 31 March 1999 vol 599 c46WA
Lord Redesdale

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many members of the Territorial Army completed (a) their annual camp commitments; and (b) their minimum man training days commitments; in each of the last three years. [HL1585]

Lord Gilbert

This information is not readily available in the format requested. However, the number of TA personnel who achieved their bounty in training years 1996–97 and 1997–98 was as follows:

1996–97 1997–98
Officer 4,546 4,377
Soldier 30,543 29,028
Total 35,089 33,405

To qualify for the bounty, an individual should normally complete both the annual camp and the minimum training day commitment. Figures for 1995–96 are no longer held on computer and the printed records are incomplete.
