To ask the Secretary of State for Defence on how many occasions in the last year for which figures are available there has been an allegation of (i) rape and (ii) sexual assault within the United Kingdom by a member of the armed forces; and in each case(a) how long a time elapsed before the civil police were informed, (b) if the alleged victim was advised and assisted to ensure there was no inadvertent destruction of evidence, (c) if charges were brought, and (d) where a conviction was secured, what sentences were imposed.
