asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will place in the Library of the House copies of all application forms and accompanying documents and correspondence which they have received, whenever the application was made, in respect of the entry of genetically modified seeds into the non-statutory provisional seed certification scheme. I refer the noble Lord to the reply given to him on 1 March 1999 (Official Report, col. WA 165).

The Government are consulting Plant Genetic Systems about the release of the documents which were relevant to the application and I shall make a further reply as soon as possible.
