§ Mr. Byers[holding answer 25 March 1999]: In the White Paper, "Our Competitive Future: Building the Knowledge Driven Economy", published at the end of last year, the Government have set the target of increasing the number of small businesses wired up to the digital market place from 350,000 to 1 million by 2002. This target covers businesses employing up to 250 people.
