§ Ms JowellThe Government's paper will highlight practical examples, from different organisations, agencies and local authorities, of how violence against women is being successfully tackled across the country. These good practice models will be supported by practical measures which are being developed across Government.
The publication will be based on the prevention of violence against women wherever possible and the provision of protection, services and justice for women where violence has occurred. Amongst other issues, it will address rape and sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment, female genital mutilation, and funding for rape crisis centres, refuges and other support services for women and girls who have suffered violence or abuse.
