§ Mr. ByersThe Competitiveness White Paper published last December set out specific commitments to help create such an economy. Those concerning regulation include: reviews of the insolvency and bankruptcy laws, and company law; consultation on the case for reform of the mergers regime; reform of telecommunications regulation; and the introduction of legislation to improve the regulation of financial services.
