§ Mr. MudieRunning costs provision of £69,945,000, covering both the Department's headquarters and the Employment Service, was carried forward from 1997–98 into 1998–99, along with £958,000 of non-voted capital provision and £50,817,000 of welfare-to-work expenditure. It is too early to say with any precision what the carry over provision will be from 1998–99 to 1999–2000.
