§ Ms Hewitt58 staff in HM Treasury have been invited to waive the Working Time Directive requirement to work less than 48 hours a week. To date, 31 staff have signed an agreement to disapply this limit and nine staff have refused. Compliance costs are not kept centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
