§ Ms HewittThe latest Survey of Personal Incomes indicates that there were about 200,000 pensioners living in the Greater London area in 1996–97 with annual incomes in excess of £10,000 per annum. Of these, some 110,000 had annual incomes about £15,000, about 65,000 had incomes above £20,000 and 40,000 had incomes above £25,000.
