To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many primary school pupils in England were entered for the level 6 SATS papers in 1998 in(a) English, (b) mathematics and (c) science; how many were awarded level 6 in each subject; and what are the comparative figures for (i) 1994, (ii) 1995, (iii) 1996 and (iv) 1997.
