§ Mr. FatchettWe have received various reports of attacks on religious minorities in India. The following table, giving the number of attacks against Christians in India in 1998 and to 20 February this year, was provided by the Indian Minister of Home Affairs to the Indian Parliament on 24 February. I have raised our concerns with the Indian authorities on several occasions most recently during the visit to London by the Indian Prime Minister's national Security adviser, Mr. Mishram, on 20 January.
