§ Mr. Galbraith[holding answer 5 March 1999]: Provisional figures for the quarter ending 31 December 1998 show that the percentage of patients who received a first outpatient appointment within 9 weeks and 18 weeks following referral by a General Medical Practitioner/General Dental Practitioner was 63.6 per cent. and 88.0 per cent. respectively.
From 1 July 1999, this will be a matter for the Scottish Parliament.
