Who is responsible for ensuring that the railway lines on the approaches to Liverpool Street station are free from litter, whether they are satisfied with the present level of litter in this area; and, if not, whether they will ask the body responsible to clean it up. [HL1314]
§ Lord WhittyRailtrack plc are responsible for clearing litter on these railway lines. An order to place a statutory duty on the privatised railway companies to clear litter from their specified land will be laid before Parliament soon.
