These forecasts are based on health bodies' best estimates of their income and expenditure position and are subject to audit adjustment. The final position will be are reported in their 1998–99 annual accounts, which will be available in audited form at the end of July 1999.
Following the transfer of functions, this issue will become a matter for the National Assembly.
