HC Deb 04 March 1999 vol 326 c865W
Mr. Hancock

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence which targets the Defence Analytical Services Agency did not meet in 1997–98; and what monitoring he has undertaken for those targets in 1998–99. [71903]

Mr. Spellar

[holding answer 25 February 1999]: The Defence Analytical Services Agency (DASA) met all its Key Targets in 1997–98. The performance of DASA is monitored by the Owner's Advisory Board which is chaired by the Owner—the department's Principal Finance Officer—and consists of customer representatives and external advisers. The Chief Executive of DASA has frequent formal and informal meetings with the Owner to report on progress during the year and submits periodic written reports on progress against targets. The Owner acts for the Secretary of State in overseeing the performance of the agency.
