§ Mr. George HowarthWe have received no Private Finance Initiative bids for new fire stations in Lancaster. We provided £70,000 in 1997–98 towards the development costs of Lancashire's pathfinder Private Finance Initiative project to build replacement fire stations in Accrington and Morecambe. We are continuing to advise the fire authority on the preparation of its outline business case for that project.
