To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when she plans to lay before each House the annual report for 1998 of the Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. [89357]

Copies of the Chief Constable's annual report for 1998 have today been placed in the Library. It is a general report on the carrying out of the RUC of their functions during 1998 which is submitted to the Police Authority for Northern Ireland and also to me for laying before Parliament in accordance with Sections 48 and 49 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998.
